About Pro-Train

The world of engineering offers a massive range of truly rewarding careers, and Pro-Train is working with schools throughout Norfolk to help students understand what exciting opportunities it can offer them.

The organisation was set up in 2001 to raise the profile of engineering and help bridge a skills gap by encouraging more young people to consider a career in the industry. Supported by the oil and gas industry, armed forces, electronics specialists, construction groups, engineering companies, training organisations and local authorities, Pro-Train has taken the message to thousands of school children in the county.

Surveys taken after Pro-Train events, competitions and projects show that young people’s perceptions of the industry are much more positive.
